The Comnet C2 chassis rack incorporates two C1-PS power supply units, providing redundancy in the event of a power supply failure. Each module includes its own AC line cord, allowing connection to separate uninterruptible power supplies for maximum reliability in mission-critical applications. An integrated audio alarm provides immediate notification if one of the power supply modules fails. The C2 rack design eliminates single-point failure by using automatic electronic current limiting within each rack-mounted module, rather than relying on the shared power supply. In the event of a module fault, only the affected module shuts down—ensuring uninterrupted operation for all others. This feature is self-resetting for temporary or intermittent faults. All modules are hot-swappable, so maintenance or replacement does not require powering down the rack.
