The AFI5100 is a programmable input controller used as part of a SiPass integrated system. It provides a local interface between
the advanced central controller (AC5100‚ AC5102 or AC5200) and the devices used to monitor a facility‚ such as infrared detectors.
When an input device that is connected to an AFI5100 changes status‚ the AFI5100 registers the status change and forwards this data
to the controller. After checking the validity of the data‚ the controller sends the message to the SiPass integrated server‚ so
the alarm-handling mechanism can respond appropriately.
